Hello there!

My name is Katy. I am 35 and happily single. I live in the Deep South where I am an oddity.

Down here in the South, if you’re over the age of 25, are unmarried, and are not looking to get married ASAP, then there must be something wrong with you.

I have a huge problem with this mindset. So many young women feel that they need a man to complete them and they end up wasting their life, waiting for the “one”.

I’m here to fight against a culture that still thinks it’s the 1950s when it comes to getting married and having babies. (*Disclaimer: there is nothing wrong with those of you who have gotten married young and are homemakers… That’s awesome for you…it’s just not for me and it shouldn’t apply to everyone.*)

I’m all about empowering young women to live their life to the fullest. Don’t wait to start living your life for the guy to come around. There’s a possibility he may not ever come around, and that’s okay! Don’t be in such a hurry to “settle down”. Have adventures, have fun, enjoy being selfish with your money and your time. Enjoy your life as an awesome single lady. 🙂
